CARLEP Supervision Cum Pre-completion Mission Completed

The CARLEP supervision cum pre-completion mission, which started from 21 October 2024,  was ended on 28 October with mission-wrap-up meeting with MoAL at Thimphu. The Mission members consist of 4 international consultants and 3 national experts.

The primary objective of this supervision mission was to: review the performance of the Programme since the last supervision mission, assess the overall progress and examine the likelihood of achieving the Programme’s development objectives in the remaining project period, review plan of the Office of the Programme Management and provide necessary support for the timely completion of the upcoming project completion review next year, assess the level of adequacy of data and information available for the PCR preparation and develop tools and techniques for additional data collection (if required) besides supporting the Programme team for timely completion and to resolve any bottlenecks or emerging issues.

During the mission, the team visited various project sites at Lhuentse and Mongar district, engaging with vegetable and dairy group members, interaction with the vegetable aggregators, discussion with the CEO of Koufuko International Dairy processing Plant, field visits and engagement with women-led dairy processing plant, filed visits to mushroom entrepreneur and to BAIL, Lingmethang and meeting with CARLEP implementing agencies.
