Dremetse Gewog is one among ten other gewogs in Mongar Dzongkhag identified under vegetable value chain. Gewog has different elevation which is quite potential for year round vegetable production. However, farmers lack basic technical capacity for vegetable cultivation and management.

Thus, day long training on vegetable cultivation techniques was conducted on 3^rd October 2017 in waichur for Waichur, Phungshing and Lemi vegetable groups. The training was organized by Gewog Extension Office in collaboration with Gewog Administration with the technical support from Dzongkhag Agriculture Officer, Gewog Extension Officer and Agriculture Component Manager from the OPM. The training was aim to built capacity of the group members in nursery raising, transplanting, an intercultural operation and plant protection aspects.

To get hands on training, Participants were also engaged in practical where they learnt nursery bed preparation, seed sowing and transplanting. The training was attended by 30 farmers (M-20, F-10) with the fund support from CARLEP/IFAD to Dzongkhag program
