Training Equips OPM Staffs with Management Information System (MIS) Skills

Following the training on Monitoring and Evaluation, OPM staffs attended a three-day training from 25th March 2019 till 27th March 2019 at Thimphu. The training provided a hands-on practice on the use of Management Information System (MIS). The main objective of the training was to teach and acquaint OPM staffs with the use of MIS tools for better project management. It was facilitated by Mr. Mikael Kauttu, Country Program Manager for Bosnia & Herzegovina, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan (developer of the MIS system).  

Training the planners and implementers on MIS tools are considered essential as it makes the management easier, faster and better. Not only does the MIS help the organizations in storing, organizing and accessing financial reports but also help in keeping financial transparency, efficiency, and accountability.

With the knowledge and skills acquired, It is expected that OPM can provide accurate, reliable and timely information necessary for better decision making.
