Participatory Vulnerability Assessment in CSV for Trashiyangtse Dzongkhag begins

The Participatory Vulnerability Assessment is being carried out in Dukti village of Yalang geog under Trashiyangtse Dzongkhag. The assessment commenced from 15th March and will end by 17th March 2017.
There are 21 households participating in the program. Dukti was selected as a Climate Smart Village (CSV) by the Dzongkhag to promote climate resilient activities under CARLEP funding.
The assessment is being carried out led by ARDC Wengkhar assisted by RLDC Kanglung, Trashiyangtse Dzongkhag and Office of the Programme Management, CARLEP .
At the end of the three days assessment, the farmers of Dukti will come out with an Action Plan in relation to climate hazard vulnerability.
The completion of participatory vulnerability assessment in Trashiyangtse Dzongkhag will mark the end of Vulnerability Assessment of six CSVs; each from the six Eastern Dzongkhags which will be intervened as a part of ‘Targeted Intervention’, thus preparing them for the implementation.
